What exactly is Armlifting and how do I start?
Armlifting is like powerlifting but focused on testing your grip. If you like deadlifts, you will love Armlifting!
Some sample implements are Rolling Thunder, Apollon's Axle Double Overhand Deadlift, and 3" Sorinex Saxon Bar Deadlift.

The easiest and cheapest way to start training for Armlifting is to get a pair of Blue Fat Gripz and start adding them to all of your double over hand deadlifts. Don't forget to add them to your dumbbells also. You can do deadlifts, rows, shrugs, and curls. Your grip will develop quickly!
Next, it would be great to go on the website and find regional contacts where you could train with the actual equipment we use in the contests. Besides getting valuable experience, you might make a few friends and learn something new during the visit.
The next thing would be to find a contest that is coming soon and sign up for it.
The current list of contests are found here: https://armliftingusa.com/upcoming-contests
Sign up for membership here: https://armliftingusa.com/membership
Purchase your own training equipment here: https://armliftingusa.com/armlifting-equipment
During the process, you might find out your grip is better than your overall body power. You might be above average at powerlifting but have a world class grip. You'll never know unless you try!
